Bowral Bathroom Renovations is a lead referral service. We do not carry out building, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing or tiling work ourselves. Enquiries submitted here are referred to the licensed builder we work in partnership with.
Who does the work
Renovation work arranged through this site is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group Pty Ltd, ABN 83 693 405 579, holder of NSW contractor licence 493393C, Class: Builder, recorded as current with an expiry of 24 March 2029.
That is the only licence we state. Verify it yourself on the NSW public register rather than relying on this page — searching the number returns the holder, the class, the status, the expiry and any disciplinary record.
The builder provides the quote, holds the contract, carries out the work and is responsible for it. Any workmanship warranty is theirs. Any statutory home building compensation cover required for the job is arranged by them.
What we do not represent
We make no representation that any contractor holds any licence, class or accreditation beyond the one named above, and we do not verify insurance on an ongoing basis.
Before work starts, ask to see the certificate of currency as well as the licence.
Asbestos
We do not remove asbestos, and asbestos removal is not folded into a renovation scope. It is separately licensed work in NSW and it goes to a separately licensed asbestos removalist.
A builder's licence is not an asbestos removal licence. They are different authorisations and holding one says nothing about the other. Given how much the Southern Highlands housing was built with asbestos cement, this distinction matters here more than in most areas.
If anyone proposes to demolish a pre-1990 bathroom without addressing asbestos properly, decline and get another opinion.
Approvals
Where a job needs strata approval or council consent, the builder can tell you what is likely to be required based on experience. They cannot decide it and neither can we. Your owners corporation or the Southern Highlands Council makes those decisions.
Nobody on this site can promise you an approval or a timeframe for one.
