What this site is

Bowral Bathroom Renovations connects homeowners across the Southern Highlands with a licensed builder. You send the details of your room, a measure is arranged, and you receive a written quote from the business that would carry out the work.

We are not the builder ourselves. That is worth saying plainly, because many sites in this industry work the same way and are less direct about it.

Who does the work

Renovation work is carried out in partnership with Coastal Renovation Group Pty Ltd, which holds NSW contractor licence 493393C, Class: Builder, current to 24 March 2029. ABN 83 693 405 579.

You can check that on the NSW Fair Trading register. It takes about thirty seconds. A licence number you can verify is worth more than any badge on a website.

What we will not claim

We have no reviews to show, because this is a new site without a trading history. We have not invented a star rating, written testimonials, or put a project count on the homepage.

We also will not quote a bathroom over the phone. In the Highlands especially, the things that most affect the price — the condition of the subfloor, the age of the linings, the services on the property — cannot be assessed without seeing the house.

Why the focus on the Highlands

Because renovation advice written for Sydney project homes does not fit here.

Houses in Bowral, Burradoo and Bundanoon are often old, on timber floors, and have bathrooms that predate proper waterproofing. The post-war stock in Moss Vale and Mittagong is where asbestos is most likely. Rural properties may be on tank water and septic. And the winters are cold enough that heating and ventilation are part of the design, not extras.

Knowing that leads to better quotes: repair allowances stated up front, asbestos tested before pricing, and a program that accounts for trade travel and cold-weather cure times.

How a job runs

A measure — on a weekend if you are a weekender — then an itemised written quote, then selections locked and materials on site before the start date, then a program in working days. Under the NSW Home Building Act, the deposit on a contract over $20,000 is capped at five per cent.

The process page walks through each stage and the cost page has the 2026 bands.
